Here’s a great quote I saw today in the Phrase Finder weekly email.
“There was a young fellah named Rollocks
Who worked for Ferrier Pollocks.
As he walked on the Strand

The tide came up to his knees.Now that’s prose. If the tide had been in, it would have been poetry.”
The quote is attributed to Brendan Behan, but apparently has never been confirmed. Still, it made me laugh all the same.
