Trembling Wilburys

I bought the re-released Travelling Wilburys album recently, and I’m enjoying it a lot! I heard ‘End of the line’ quite a few times on the radio, and really liked it, but I was a bit annoyed to find I couldn’t get it anywhere. I then heard, by chance, that the album was being re-released, so I was straight off to Play.com and pre-ordered the deluxe limited edition, which includes both Volumes 1 and 2, and a special DVD. Also, it’s numbered, and a limited run. I noticed one is listed on Play for £99 now – I think I paid about £15!

I’ve listened to volume 1 a lot more than volume 3, but I’m really loving it. I’m contemplating looking up more Bob Dylan, and more of George Harrison’s solo stuff. There’s some really tight, excellent song-writing on the album. Considering it was made during the 80′s, it’s a mostly guitar-driven album. There’s a bit of synth and other technologica on there, but not enough to detract and make it sound dated. It sounds as fresh as ever to me.

Definitely one of my new favourites!
